This Saturday, the #24 Ohio Roller Girls will look to exact revenge on the only squad to defeat them in the regular season last year when OHRG amassed a WFTDA record-setting 21-1 win/loss total. The sole blemish in the loss column for Ohio came at the hands, and skates, of the Carolina Rollergirls midway through last year at Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. In that bout, Ohio was missing two key players in Phoenix Bunz and HellionBOI, as Kitty Liquorbottom wore the star nearly every other jam. As the final whistle blew in Raleigh, the Carolina Rollergirls took the win by a mere 15 points. The 15 point loss could have been considered a moral victory for Ohio, as OHRG jammers were only able to obtain lead status 12 times out of the bout’s 43 jams. A rematch was inevitable and the only question left unanswered would be if the follow-up bout would be just as exciting as the original.
