OHIO BRINGS HOME FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON AGAINST NASHVILLE, 194-128
It's been over six months since Columbus got to see the Ohio Roller Girls play a home bout. August was the last time OHRG graced the Ohio Expo Center before tournament season and, if you missed it, what a tournament season it was! OHRG won two out of three playoffs games, which earned them their very first trip to Championships in November. After a great 2013 and a lot of hard work in the off-season, OHRG was ready to hit their hometown track on March 8th to start the 2014 season off right. For the season opener, OHRG welcomed the Nashville Rollergirls Music City All Stars. The two teams last played against each other in 2010, with Ohio falling to Nashville. Four years later, Ohio wasn’t going down so easily. Ohio started out the first half with a strong mix of veterans jamming, including Kitty Liquorbottom, The Smacktivist, and Bratislava Bruiser. They gained immediate advantage over Nashville, including the first power jam of the game going to Lora “Outa My” Wayman, but they didn’t stay ahead for long.
