How did you get into derby?
A coworker knew a coach on the team and said they were going to a wanna-be-clinic and asked if I wanted to tag along.  My brother had told me once that the only sport he could see my playing was roller derby so I thought I would give it a try.

What is the story behind your derby name?
I wanted something that was a play on my Scot-Irish heritage but not to campy.

What is your favorite position to play on the track?
Its gone back and forth but currently I really love to block.  Being on the track with my pack is always a blast.

Any honors you have received while being with OHRG?
I’ve gotten a couple MVPs at bouts but I really like my end of season gala awards which included breakout player of the season and most valuable player on Gang Green.

How do you prepare for a bout?
I used to eat taco bell before every bout, but now I just pace around anxiously and eat fun-dip.  #fundiplife

What are some goals you have for this coming season?
I am hoping to make full charter this season, play lots of games, and win lots of games I guess.

Do you have any hobbies?
I have been teaching myself how to crochet for a while now, but that is my only other hobbies besides derby.

Do you have any jobs with OHRG, if so what are they?
I am the Service Points coordinator which means I nag people to attend parades and got to other promotional events.

What has been your favorite memory so far while playing with OHRG?
Tournaments in general are my favorite.  Getting to travel with all my derby friends, watch other teams, eat at fun restaurants and all the works.

What is your favorite color?
Its always been green, made it super easy when I when I made the team.

Lastly, what is some advice for those that are interested in skating or trying out?
Give it a try.  Don’t think about it, just do it.
