Quiver, NSO

How did you get into derby?
My wife was interested in joining a team, so we went to watch a few bouts to get some actual info on derby. She decided to join a team which, in turn, means I had to join a team. But I am as graceful as a newborn giraffe on skates, so NSO it is!

Do you have any other hobbies?
Scuba diving and building computers.

What is your favorite derby memory thus far?
2017 World Championships.

Who inspires you?
The rookies. I love the determination and “deer in headlight” look all at the same time. I relate so well to that.

Do you have any pre- or post-bout rituals?
Sweat and stress–that pretty much sums it up.

How has derby impacted your life?
There is a “thing” that most people search for in life–it is the desire to be a part of something. My derby family has done just that. We may be new to the league, but through our tragedy of losing a house to a fire, we have been so well taken care of and looked after. This is what family does!
